Thomas Leyland-Collins

Thomas Leyland-Collins graduated from the Environmental Arts course at GSA in 2012 having been on exchange in Jerusalem at Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design in 2010. He established TLC SoundSystem in 2015 and is currently living and working in Glasgow as a freelance technician/ sound-artist.

Moving away from a centrifugal model of communication to a centripetal one.

Traversing the disciplines of sound, sculpture, installations and performance, my practice is concerned with developing systems for approaching sound art within a socio-political framework, bringing into question various pedagogical structures which are then re-appropriated to create unpredictable, sometimes fragile, new scenarios.
